TKL stands for the surnames of our three founding partners: Tan, Khoon and Lee. The name reflects how the company began—as a shared commitment between three partners to build a more responsible way to grow.

TKL Agro Industries Sdn. Bhd. is a Penang-based agricultural company developing organic fertilisers and biological inputs for Malaysian farmers, growers and nurseries. Founded in 2026 by three partners, we are a young company still learning from the growers we serve.

We believe agricultural productivity and environmental responsibility should not sit at opposite ends of the spectrum. TKL Agro was founded to develop practical agricultural inputs that work with nature, making better use of organic resources while supporting healthier soil.

Daniel Tan Yi Jing
Co-founder · Marketing, Customers & Suppliers
Daniel leads TKL Agro's marketing and manages relationships with customers and suppliers. He is President of the Malaysia Carnivorous Plant Society (MCPS) and holds a BSc in Marketing from the University of Southampton.
Khoon Chee Boon
Co-founder · Finance & Production
Khoon brings many years of entrepreneurial experience, with a practical understanding of cost control, day-to-day operations and managing people. A long track record in sales has given him a strong understanding of customers, and his hands-on skills in building and maintaining living ecosystems bring a careful eye for detail to TKL Agro's production. He is also a committee member of MCPS.
Lee Ong Kee
Co-founder · Sales, Production & Logistics
Lee brings more than two decades of hands-on leadership experience across Malaysia and Cambodia. Years of running businesses have given him a strong grasp of operations, team leadership and building dependable distribution networks, while his background in pest management and technical consulting adds practical understanding of the problems growers face. He holds a BCom in Marketing and Management from Murdoch University and serves as Secretary of MCPS.
What We're Building
Products shaped by testing, consistency and real growing conditions.
Our first product line, TKL Agro BioCast, is currently in development. It is designed for all types of plants—from commercial crops and plantations to home gardens and house plants—so that farmers and home growers alike can benefit from healthier soil. We are testing prototypes to ensure consistent quality and real-world results before launch.
In future, we plan to explore growing media and responsible crop-protection solutions as part of a broader, biologically driven approach to cultivation.
